SOUTHWEST GOVERNORS RESOLVE TO REVIEW GAINS OF NON-OIL EXPORT SECTOR

Governors from the South West region have resolved to collaborate to re-examined the gains and significance of the non-oil export sector to the economic development of the region.
The resolution was taken at a South West export enlightenment and engagement forum held in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
They resolve that there is a need to synergize with Stakeholders on export potentials and opportunities and how to access intervention funds.
The Governors who were represented at the forum said the region is the commercial hub of the country must harness the gains of the non-oil export sector for the good of the nation’s economy.
They also harped on the need to boost the agricultural value chain and empower the capacities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises for regional economic growth.
The Theme of the gathering is: Maximizing export potentials in the South West region for economic growth.
