Tajudeen Abbas emerges speaker of 10th house of representatives

The preferred candidate of the All Progressives Congress and member representing the Zaria constituency of Kaduna State, Tajudeen Abbas has emerged as speaker of the 10th House of Representatives with a wide margin of 353 votes.
Abbas defeated two others including the deputy speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Idris Wase to emerge as the speaker of the house having exceeded the simple majority of 181 of the total number.
Former Deputy Speaker of the House Idris Wase polled 3 votes while Sani Jaji Representing Kaora Namoda Federal constituency of Zamfara state scored 3.
Benjamin Kalu of Bende federal constituency, Abia State Federal constituency emerges deputy speaker of the 10th House of Representatives unopposed
