Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku has sworn in 23 Permanent Secretaries, as part of steps to reinvigorate the state’s Civil Service

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Taraba State Government House in Jalingo, with the Oath of Office administered by the state’s Chief Judge.

Governor Darius Ishaku says the appointments are part of reforms implementation, to enhance professionalism, he also appreciated Taraba Civil Servants for their support to his administration and asked them to extend the same to his successor.

The Governor added that the reforms in Taraba State’s Civil Service aided the elimination of ghost workers, which made room for the employment of the highest number of civil servants, since the creation of the state.

The appointment of twenty-three Permanent Secretaries in the state’s Civil Service is one of the highest to be made in recent times by the Taraba State Government.
