The newly elected local government chairmen in Taraba State have been asked to design an emergency disaster management plan in their local government areas.
Governor Agbu Kefas gave the charge while speaking at the inauguration of the chairmen, where he also tasked them with leveraging on technology to improve service delivery to their communities.
The local government chairmen will serve a two-year term, instead of three, as adjusted by the legislature and the executive arms of government, but be assured that the time frame is enough to make a positive impact on communities in the state.
They were presented with their certificates of return by the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission, TSIEC.
