The clarification is coming on the heels of recent media reports claiming that Nigerians denied visa after January 20, have been directed to reapply.

A statement issued by the US consulate says the report was inaccurate saying that President Biden proclamation of January 20 applies only to what it described as certain immigrant cases, and does not apply to Tourists, businesses, students or non-immigrant visas.
