Unilag slashes school fees.

The Management of the University of Lagos has announced the reduction of its tuition fees recently reviewed upwards at the wake of the Subsidy removal impasse.

The decision was contained in a statement from the university.

It includes a reduction of twenty-thousand-naira obligatory fees, five-thousand-naira utility fees, three-thousand-naira convocation fees and forty-three-thousand-naira hostel fees.

The vice chancellor, Folasade Ogunsola during a closed meeting explained that the process of reinstating student union activities on campus has reached an advanced stage.

The meeting which lasted about five hours had in attendance the vice chancellor, top management staff of the institution, representatives of the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) led by its national president, Usman Barambu, faculty leaders from the nine faculties on campus including college of medicine.
