Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has postponed bringing in a centre-back until 2021. Solskjaer feels other areas of his squad are in more urgent need of reinforcements. The united gaffer felt his squad lacked depth in the final stretch of the season and was keen to add competition at left-back and center-back.
United have only signed Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax this summer. The United boss had planned on making at least three signings ahead of the new season.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is the Norwegian’s priority target. But there has been a back and forth movement over negotiations for the English teenage sensation due to Dortmund’s asking price. United believes the deal can still go through before the end of the summer transfer window on October 5th.
Solskjaer, nicknamed “The Baby Face Assassin” in his playing days for united, took over the reins after the sacking of former boss Jose Mourinho.
