Vandalism: Edo NSCDC Arrests 2 for stealing community street lights solar panels

Edo State Command of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has called on the public to desist from vandalizing government facilities after the corps arrested two men, for allegedly stealing two solar power panels in Fugar Etsako Central local government area.
Commandant of the Edo state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Samuel Dan said the matter is still under investigation towards arresting more persons suspected to be involved in the theft.
According to the commandant of the corps, the suspects who have since confessed their role in the crime were arrested on Friday after they connived with others now at large to steal two out of several solar panels installed by an indigenous union to light up the community.
One of the suspects in his confession of the crime claimed that one Stanley who is now at large was the main culprit while the other absolved himself from the crime with regret for being linked to the crime.
The commandant promised that the suspects will soon be charged to court.
