VIGILANTE GROUP IN NIGER STATE TO TAKE FIGHT TO BANDITS’ DOORSTEP

Members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria say they are ready to confront bandits in their hideouts in the Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State.

The Chairman of the Vigilante Group, Hashimu Kotonkoro made this declaration, during a meeting with stakeholders, including the Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, at Kasuwar Garba.

Mariga Local Government Council, according to its Chairman, Ibrahim Idris, has so far recruited two hundred members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, from the four districts.

The Chairman also said members of the vigilante group are working in collaboration with the Community Police, to strengthen security in the area.

Speaking at the event, Governor Abubakar Bello, said  the state government will continue to support security agencies and ensure the security of lives and properties are guaranteed, across the state.
