VIOLENCE IN DR CONGO DISPLACES 7 MILLION PEOPLE

Escalating violence in the DR Congo has become a matter of great concern due toongoing fighting with M23 rebels.
According the United Nation, UN, a record 6.9 million people are now internally displaced within the Democratic Republic of Congo due to the violence.
The UN’s International Organization for Migration after collecting tracking data from all 26 of the country’s provinces says the vast majority of those displaced live in the east where conflict is cited as the primary cause.
