Windstorm destroys properties worth millions in Bauchi state

Over two hundred houses, electric poles, with properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed by windstorm and a heavy downpour in Misau local government area of Bauchi state.

While confirming the incident through telephone conversation, Mohammed Kaka who is a resident of the area, said the heavy downpour started about 4:00pm Sunday evening and lasted for about one hour.

However, no life was lost, though two people sustained serious injury, ten others had minor injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the Federal medical center, Azare.
