Zamfara governor swears in 18 Commissioners and assigns portfolios.

Zamfara governor, Dauda Lawal, has sworn in 18 newly appointed Commissioners that would constitute the State Executive Council.
The inauguration ceremony held at the old Council Chambers, Government House, Gusau, where the new appointees were also assigned portfolios immediately after the oath-taking by the state’ chief judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu.
Governor Dauda Lawal tasked the newly inaugurated commissioners to double their efforts in carrying out their assignments with all seriousness because they would be assessed by the Key Performance Indicators or KPIs.
Two commissioners are to serve under the Office of the Governor with multiple tasks that include, the supervision of government policies; Nasiru Ibrahim Zurmi, Budget Implementation Unit and Office of the Governor; and Salisu Musa Tsafe, Humanitarian and Relief Matters and Office of the Governor.
The 18 newly appointed commissioners who are experts from various professions, including two women will work with Governor Lawal of Zamfara to actualize the ‘Rescue Mission’ agenda of the Peoples Democratic Party-led administration in the state.
